Update: I posted the review below 5 years ago. I have been taking my taking my pets here since 2016 when it opened. Still the best! This is the best place for you pet! Dr. Sekut is amazing. He honestly cares for the animals, very compassionate. Everything he does is in their best interest. He goes above and beyond. Everyone who works there is amazing, a great team. My cat is the MEANEST animal that goes there, no joke. He's well known amongst the staff. He's extremely aggresive during vet visits, yet they always take good care of him. Always. I recommend this place to everyone. If you love your animals, take them here!!! This place is the best!!!

Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!!! Been living on the peninsula for 50 years and by far this is the best place to take your pets.

>I showed up precisely at 6:13pm for my 6:15,after putting in a 12 hour work day so I was running on fumes and my cat was in rough shape. And side note If you were wondering if everything I own now is saturated in cat piss well you would be correct. Arrival: 613 , initial triage was done almost an hour after arriving which afforded me time to read the reviews and some of the negative ones started getting to me. He did express my cats bladder and provide him some relief and they were professional regarding my cat pissing all over their keyboard and mouse, as well as pretty much every surface in the exam room. The staff was friendly, and the receptionist greated us by name when walking through the door and remembered our phone conversation Courtney seemed to be paying attention and engaged. Dr sekut was helpful and collaborative and he immediately identified by looking at me that I was exhausted and he did hustle to get me outta there pretty quickly after the initial wait. Which is was pretty reasonable now that Im not in the moment, and I appreciate him expressing my cats bladder for me I tried myself and couldn't and Mr G has had successful moderately productive trips to the box since his appointment. And has been medicated and noticeably more comfortable since. And he could have taken us down the rabbit hole achieved nothing and still hit me with a huge bill like I've seen done and that has been done to me at other vets namely pet express in colonial heights VA as an example. All in all I left with a feeling of relief. If everything goes smooth with the followup in terms of the authorization for my chewy order as well as a few other key aspects I intend to update my review to 5 stars. thanks guys, Mr g thanks you too.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Sekut and his team. I was highly recommended to him by another pet parent I met while leaving an urgent care clinic in Newport News, and I am so grateful for that recommendation. My Maltese, Berry, was in a lot of pain after injuring his carpus (wrist). From the moment we arrived, Dr. Sekut was compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough in his care. He took the time to assess Berry's injury, explain everything clearly, and make sure my fur baby received the treatment he needed. What impressed me even more was how affordable the services were. Quality veterinary care can be expensive, but Dr. Sekut provided exceptional care at a reasonable price. A special thank you to Janae, who was absolutely amazing. The level of customer service and compassion she showed was outstanding. The staff consistently checked on Berry after his visit, making us feel supported and cared for every step of the way. If you're looking for a veterinarian who truly cares about animals and their families, I highly recommend Dr. Sekut and his team. Berry and I are beyond thankful for the excellent care we received.
